Paul G, an artist and musician, tells their story of discovering their gender and sexuality through rejecting labels but then later embracing the labels "agender" and "pansexual".  They tell the story of their coming out process as well as their life-long repression.  What's it like to be gender non-conforming in a binary world?  What's it like to go from a "straight monogamous male" to an agender, pansexual, polyamorous person?

We also talk about co-dependency, toxic masculinity, ayahuasca retreats, accepting diversity, weed + alcohol dependency, misconceptions about polyamory, body dysphoria, the paradox of the universe, Wu Wei (trying not to try), the importance of respect, non-violent communication, and SO much more.

Cher shares his experience with D.I.D. (the media has labeled it "Multiple Personality Disorder" though it is not a personality disorder.  Also called split personalities or multiplicity).  This disorder is a result of early childhood trauma of which he had lots of: (TW) an emotionally and physically abusive step-father, a homophobic/transphobic father and a doctor mother who didn't believe in medication or mental-illness.  Everyone has heard of D.I.D. from the media, but now we have a chance to hear first hand what it's like to live with it.

Cher tells us about the various "alters" (alternate personalities) he had in earlier years. Cher and I also talk about coping with trauma and PTSD, being trans, shame spirals, (TW) suicide attempts, anxiety and depression, medication, therapy, being bullied, being misgendered as a child, and SO much more.

Thanks for listening!

His first time in rehab was at 14, but he's now sober thanks to some special people along the way.  Our anonymous guest tells his story of addiction and recovery.  From crashing a car into a house to being locked out of his apartment by police and living in a homeless shelter, his story is wild.

We also talk about (TW) suicide attempts, relapse, death in the family, detox, blackouts and fighting, the shame cycle, losing everything, spirituality, meditation, getting around "god", 12-step recovery programs, and MUCH more.

You will love this one, I promise.

Haley O. talks about her experience with depression, PTSD and Body-Focused Repetitive Behaviors (called "BFRBs" eg. skin picking).  She talks about her early diagnosis of ADHD, OCD, and turrets (and later, anxiety and depression).  Haley also talks about the two major traumatic situations in her life that led to her BFRB and major depression (TW: one was sexual in nature).

We also talk about having sensitive nervous systems, PTSD, trauma and guilt, support groups, high-stress jobs, reaching out for help, courage, redefining "success" for yourself and SO much more.

An anonymous guest talks about coping mechanisms, rehab, therapists and health insurance.  She tells the story of how she was rejected from an out-patient program (rehab) after hitting a "bottom".  We also talk about drugs, alcohol, BPD, anxiety, depression, self-hatred, abstinence-based recovery, shitty AND good therapists/doctors, fear of being "too much", labels and diagnoses, self-sabotage, healing, meditation, meds, (TW) overdoses, drug interactions, creating our crazy-person-commune in Cincinnati and MUCH more.

It's been a while since I've posted one of these, but I'll be doing a lot more in the coming months!  I'm back in the proverbial saddle :)
