Kye Plant has an intimate conversation with a different guest each episode about taboo and stigmatized subjects* Sometimes the guest is Kye's friend, but often times they've never spoken before. The two connect on the human experience and though we all have different lives, you'll find you're able to relate to parts of everyone's story!

Often a few laughs, sometimes a few tears, but ALWAYS an honest, raw and heartfelt conversation that is guaranteed to make you feel less alone.

I'm not entirely sure what to write here...  This is the most painful and healing conversation I believe I've ever had.  I never thought this would happen.  It's a long episode and there are a lot of ups and downs...  Part of me says to not share this with anybody and part of believes it's healing for other people to hear these kinds of heavy conversations.  I've cried COUNTLESS times since this happened while listening back to it and thinking it over...

We discuss my dad's life in Holland as a kid;
his life during and after WW2 in Nazi-occupied territory;
his traumas;
being an immigrant kid who didn't speak english;
his relationship with his family;
his burnout from a MEGA-stressful job;
his anxiety + depression;
how he managed to work his way through that PTSD;
and then how all of this affected me.

I was able to tell him things I never thought I'd be able to say (and he listened).  I'm very grateful for him and his willingness to try to heal us.
